Binding Spells - Protection Spells http://powerfulspellscaster.com/

Binding spells serve a variety of purposes. They range from relatively easy to difficult.
They can be used for personal protection against others' spells. They can bind forces of nature, spirits, and even people. And they can be used to reduce someone's influence upon you. Whatever the need, if you use spells then these binding spells may of help to you.

Binding spells are any kind of magick that you use to force your will on someone, usually to stop them from doing something. Binding them up makes them powerless. One exception would be with love spells. A binding love spell is one where you bind a person to you, and basically make them fall in love with you.

Binding Spells: What are they, different ways to bind

BINDING. I get a lot of questions about binding. What is binding? Binding is a way to stop another from doing harm.

This is one spell that a lot of Wiccans (specifically WICCANS, not all witches, please remember that wicca is a "denomination" of witchcraft, as baptist is a denomination of christianity) don't like to use, because it interferes with free will. It's always a good idea to be very, very careful when casting a spell, because of the karmic kickback and ripple effect that goes with sending our energies and wills out into the universe.

Whatever we send out comes back to us threefold. This is known as the threefold law. You can boil it down to physics, energy spent must be replaced with like energy. Every spell will have unintended effects, I've heard it called the Law of Unintended Consequences. Spells like bindings and justice spells etc are more likely to have unintended effects as they affect another person, or persons.
This being said, sometimes it's necessary to do a binding to stop someone from causing direct harm to yourself, your loved ones, your life, etc.

When all options are exhausted, when there is no other way, I will do a binding.

There are many ways to do a binding. Here are a few, and my thoughts on them. (these are my opinions, not written law lol)
A very popular binding type spell is a freezer spell. You write the person's name on a slip of paper, put it in a glass jar with some banishing herbs, etc. and put it in the freezer. I personally don't like this one as a general binding spell, because while it stops someone in their tracks, it also prevents any further development in the situation, it stops it cold.

It also keeps the situation close at hand. I personally feel that freezing something in its tracks doesn't allow the situation to be resolved, it gets stuck the way it is. Sometimes, this is a GOOD thing, like in the case of preventing losing your job, home, alimony check, etc etc. Other times, if someone is causing direct harm, it's a BAD thing, because they won't go away, there will be no resolution. So this one, it really depends on the situation whether it is appropriate or not.
A very simple binding spell, the one I suggest to most, is to write the harmer's name on a piece of paper, fold it up (with herbs inside if desired) and literally bind it with thread, of the appropriate color. (blue for justice, etc) while visualizing the harm coming to an end. After it's all bound up, take it outside and depending on the situation either:
1. "lay it to rest" by burying it, I usually bury things in salt to neutralize all energies. Burying will cause the situation to "die," to end, and let new things happen. Give the energy back to the earth to recycle.
2. Burn it. Fire reduces things to it's simplest elements, and can help "put things back the way they were." Also cleanses the energy, gets it all out.
3. Throw it in moving water. this cleanses the energy and carries the situation away from you.
4. scatter it to the wind. This sets it free.
You can see how the symbolism changes according to the situation. A spell is a symbolic prayer of sorts, whatever helps you to focus your intent, do it.
When things are particularly nasty, I mean REALLY bad, it can call for a powerful binding spell. Here's the one I suggest to people quite a bit. Take a picture or other representation of the harmer, take it into the woods far away from your home, where you will never see it again, and nail it to a tree with an iron nail.

If you live in a place where there aren't many trees, you can also dig a hole far away, and pin the representation to the earth with the nail, and bury it. They'll stay stuck far away from you until the iron rusts through, a very long time. This one is called for when it's a harmer who is very dangerous, and needs to be kept away at all costs.
